Video & Editing
· Organize and put together raw footage into a continuous scene according to instructions
· Review film on computer or monitor to determine if corrections are needed
· Trim film segments to specified lengths and reassemble sequences that present stories with effect
· Determine the specific audio and visual effects and music necessary to complete films
· Select and combine the most efficient shots of each scene to form a logical and smoothly running story
· Confer with Media Manager concerning layout and editing approaches needed to increase dramatic or entertainment value of production
· Communicate and place participants in specific areas to enhance the video while broadcasting creativity and innovation
· Operate various editing programs, such as Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Photoshop, and AVID
· Ensure material is completed within a specific time period
· Record needed sounds and obtain them from sound effect libraries
· Correspond with journalists to ensure story satisfaction
Photography
· Use traditional or digital cameras, along with a variety of equipment, such as tripods, filters, and flash attachments as well as create artificial light
· Determine desired images and picture composition, selecting and adjusting subjects, equipment, and lighting to achieve desired effects
· Adjust apertures, shutter speeds, and camera focus based on a combination of factors, such as lighting, field depth, subject motion, film type, and film speed
· Manipulate and enhance scanned or digital images to create desired effects, using computers and specialized software
· Transfer photographs to computers for editing, archiving, and electronic transmission
· Determine project goals, locations, and equipment needs by studying assignments and consulting with clients or advertising staff
· Engage in research to develop new photographic procedures
· Write photographic captions
